Early in life, Andrew Zahuranec discovered a passion for manufacturing that led him to study Industrial Engineering at the University of Toledo with a concentration in Manufacturing Engineering. After college, he started a manufacturing company. The company grew into a multi-million-dollar business and for more than 30 years he ran a successful company known for high-quality products. As part of his profession, Andrew was very involved in human resources and workforce management. He realized that few applicants had a clear career path and not many knew what they wanted to do long-term. He joined Class 101 to help young people find their passion and eventually succeed in the workplace.
Jacqueline “Jackie” Zahuranec always had dreams of doing her part to help other people reach their potential. She earned a B.S. from Indiana University in Physical Education with an emphasis in coaching, and became a certified teacher. While raising their four children, Jackie volunteered as a substitute teacher and was active in school fundraising programs. After coaching the Junior Varsity girl’s high school tennis team for several years, Jackie became the Assistant Varsity Coach. Under her guidance, she has taken student-athletes to play in state-level tournaments and competitions. As a member and an employee of a local tennis club, she continues to work on various fundraisers.In 2017, she is proud to have helped raise more than $16,000 for their annual “Rally For Pediatric Cancer.”
Andrew and Jackie Zahuranec have been married for over 27 years. In their free time, they enjoy playing competitive tennis together and traveling, especially with their children.
After successfully helping guide their four children into college, Jackie and Andrew know they have a unique perspective that can help families with the college search, admissions, and financial aid process. They acquired a Class 101 franchise to make the process less stressful for both students and their families.
