The Department of Education has announced the colleges will not be receiving a student’s financial information until March. What does that mean for you? It means that students will have to wait a while longer before receiving financial offers from colleges.

With the opening of the FAFSA scheduled by December 31, there is NO RUSH to complete the form on that day or even the day after. Your form will not be sent to colleges until later in January. The FAFSA will be open as a soft launch for the time leading up to and after December 31. There will be times when it will be closed for site maintenance.
