Our mission is to empower students, serve families, and inspire greatness. We know that applying to college can be overwhelming, which is why we strive to make this process enjoyable for families. We navigate the complex, multi-year process by working one-on-one with students as early as their freshman year of high school. But it\u2019s not just about getting into college. Class 101 Franklin is full of college planning experts who love helping students on the path to higher education. We all became a part of the Class 101 family because we want to make a difference in a young person\u2019s life. We\u2019ve done this in our own communities already, working with students as volunteers, Girl Scout leaders, teachers, and more. But along the way, each of us fell in love with the college planning and application process, and we want to be able to help students in the next steps of their journeys, too. \n\t\t\t\t\tOwner\/College Planner\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tAfter working with Class 101 founder Tom Pabin for her oldest daughter\u2019s college planning, Karen Feamster appreciated the process and service so much that she wanted to provide it to her own community. She opened Class 101 Franklin in March 2014 and hasn\u2019t slowed down since. It\u2019s hard to keep up with this Kentucky Wildcat and CPA, who loves running, a good cup of coffee (with cream), volunteering with the Girl Scouts (she\u2019s been involved for over 30 years), and of course, counseling high schoolers and their families to help them find their best-fit colleges. She\u2019s served as PTO treasurer, PTO president, and IB Coordinator through the years, and as choir director for some of the youngest members of Franklin First United Methodist Church. Her favorite movie? \u201cRemember the Titans\u201d\u2014which, of course, has a college tie, since it was filmed at Berry College in Rome, Georgia! \u201cI love watching my students reach their goals and succeed,\u201d says Karen. \u201cFrom ACT score increases, to getting into colleges they didn\u2019t think they\u2019d get into, to scholarship money awards, it is such a joy to be part of their journey and see them mature and become these incredible adults.\u201d Karen and her husband Mike live in Leiper\u2019s Fork, and have two adult daughters and four adorable pups.\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\t
