Make the Most of Summer: Serve Others!

Make the most of summer with volunteer service. Wondering how to build your resume for college applications? Or how to preview a possible career? Volunteering should be more than collecting hours; volunteering can connect you to college and career interests. Here is our latest list of recommended volunteer organizations and service ideas from Class 101-Dayton. They range from one day events, to flexible online programs, to places where students can volunteer regularly.

Featured Service Opportunity: Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Hundreds of children in our area need a bed to sleep on. Under the guidance of SHP Chapter team members, volunteers build beds in an assembly line. There are stations for sawing, sanding, drilling, assembling, staining, and branding the wood. A pile of raw lumber becomes ready-to-deliver bunks for kids in need in just three hours. You can sign up to volunteer for a build day or a delivery day. Learn more here: https://shpbeds.org/
