January has a funny way of making families feel like they’ve missed something important.
Early Action deadlines have passed. Other students seem to “know where they’re going.” Group chats are buzzing with acronyms and timelines. And suddenly, it feels like the college process has a clock attached to it.
Here’s the truth: January is not a deadline. It’s a reset.
Every year, I talk with students and parents who feel behind as the calendar flips. In reality, most of them are exactly where they should be. That’s exactly why I’m hosting Open Office Hours this coming Monday.
On Monday, January 5, the office at Class 101 Waukesha-Brookfield will be open from 3 – 7 for drop-in conversations. We’ll be happy to talk about feeling behind in the college process, or anything else that’s on your mind: applications, ACT strategy, college lists, scholarships, financial aid, or just sorting through the noise.
There’s no presentation and no pressure. Just a chance to talk things through with someone who does this work every day.

Monday, January 5 (3:00 – 7:00 pm)
