Everything on this page is free. Once a month I sit down for forty-five minutes and explain one piece of college admissions or financial aid the way it actually works, and then the recording goes here, where anyone can watch it whenever they want. I will also sprinkle in additional recordings along the way.

I spent over twenty years inside this world, admissions and enrollment management, up to the vice president level. I built the pricing models that decide what your family gets offered and trained the people who read your child’s application. What I learned is that the families who do well are rarely the wealthiest ones. They’re the ones who knew the rules early. This page is where I hand the rules to everybody else.

New sessions air live on the first Monday of every month (usually) at 5:00 PM Central, and the recording is posted here afterward. Watch one, watch all of them, or send them to a friend who needs them more than you do.

A note on why this is free

I was a first-generation college student. My parents were smart, careful people who had no idea how any of this worked, and we made incorrect college decisions because of it. That happens in thousands of households a year, and almost none of it is anyone’s fault, the information just isn’t distributed evenly.

So these stay free, and they stay public. No email required to watch, no gate, no funnel. If one of them saves your family money or a bad decision, that’s the whole return I’m looking for. If it’s useful, send it to someone else who needs it.
