April is National Volunteer Month, which makes it the perfect time to thank and celebrate our students for the work they do in their communities. Inspired by how our students give to improve the world around them, Class 101-Dayton recently became a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Established in 2003, the PVSA is a national program created by the President’s Council on Service & Civic Participation to honor Americans who inspire others to engage in volunteer service through their demonstrated commitment and example. The PVSA highlights the vital role of volunteers in addressing critical needs in our communities and encouraging others to take action. Talk to your college planner at your next appointment if you’re interested in pursuing the award.
Here is our latest list of volunteer organizations and service ideas from More Than One and Class 101-Dayton. They range from one day events, to flexible online programs, to places where students can volunteer regularly. Revised 4/7/2025
